MANHATTAN SMP EMPIRE MULTITHREADED BTLD FOR SCO UNIX/ODT

Production Release: 1.06
Available: July 1994

Part Number Description
910727-321 3.5" diskette 1 of 1

Revision: A

This release contains the following problem resolutions and enhancements:

PROBLEMS RESOLVED:

Resolved a problem with Exabyte 8 mm tape drives crashing the system.

ENHANCEMENTS:

Enabled up to 60 concurrent I/O requests on the DAC960.

Added support for the single channel version of AST's Empire (DAC960)
controller AST P/N 230624-001.

Modified the configuration printout at boot time (%adapter line). It now
identifies the number of channels and number of targets per channel.
The "features" string has also been removed.

Added a watchdog mechanism to guard against frozen DAC960 mailboxes and to
issue an appropriate warning.

Enabled Input/Output requests to be returned to SCO's mscsi layer when they're
unserviceable. The potential for this possibility exists if the HW mailbox is
frozen or if the request itself is corrupted.
